Re: One Year Later: Boyhood should have won BP/BD Crash is very good; just a nice flowing film with message that sticks. It's in my top 100. Argo yeah, not ground breaking but good, not an undeserving winner either. Haven't seen Spotlight yet.
Boyhood, Birdman, Budapast, Interstellar all would deserve to run for best picture, but I'd finally wouldn't just pick either. But anyway, Paddington is so far out, it's just average. It so does not belong in this thread.

Whiplash and Boyhood were the best of the nominees.

And in both years other nominees such as Whiplash and Inception also would have been deserving winners.

There's so many films released each year, with everyone having their own taste that calling a BP win deserved or not an endless discussion really.
