I was pretty sure Star Wars would run away with it, and it still might win. However, there doesn't seem to be a unanimous passion like sure winners of the past (Dark Knight, Children, Basterds, etc...). I'd say it is between Inside Out and Mad Max right now and it really just depends on who votes and who doesn't. Though I'd give Max a slight edge due to Inside Out being more likely to lose votes to Star Wars. picture - Mad Max Director - George Miller Actor - Matt damon v Leo Actress - Daisy vs Brie. Depends on how many people saw Room Supporting - Stallone and Theron Ensemble - Spotlight And I think our "Only KJ" award winner will be It Follows for Score. |

Calling it now, Star Wars won't be nominated for best picture. And if it were, a few year's from now, people will be like " what were We thinking?". It can probably get tech awards and Ridley noms, but no on here besides the fanboys would insist its a top 5 movie. |

Star Wars will get a lot of rankings in the 3-5 range which should be enough to push it in. There's clearly more passion for other films though. And DIB is right, Hateful Eight has been flying the under the radar. |

Mad Max is a revolutionary action film. But I would be okay with Inside Out winning too. These have easily been the two best movies if the year. |

I love Inside Out, and Mad Max is very easy to appreciate for trying something different, even though its just okay for me. Both are deserving of the award. |

Inside Out is very good, best animation of 2015 yes, but surely overrated if it's being considered a Best Picture winner. I mean is it really that much better than Jurassic World? |
