Ralph Breaks the Internet is a 2018 American 3D computer-animated comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures as well as the studio's 57th feature-length film. It is the second installment of the Wreck-It Ralph film series and the sequel to the 2012 film Wreck-It Ralph. It is directed by Rich Moore and Phil Johnston, written by Johnston and Pamela Ribon, and executive-produced by John Lasseter, Chris Williams, and Jennifer Lee.[a] It features John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, and Ed O'Neill reprising their roles from the first film, with Alan Tudyk returning to voice a new character, alongside new additions to the cast including as Gal Gadot, Taraji P. Henson, and Alfred Molina. The film is dedicated to Marvel co-creator Stan Lee, who died before the film's release and has a cameo in the film.

The princess scene was kinda disappointing. Pretty much everything was in the trailers.

It's really enjoyable though. The end credits scene lolol

Middle of the tier entertainment. I liked the cameos. Kept my niece and nephew glued and quiet for 2 hours. What more can you ask for? I thought it had a few clever bits though. Ralph was just too much of a mix between Shrek and Sully, the world was more interesting than the characters.

I enjoyed the references so much, that they made the movies actual plot line seem less interesting by comparison. But it was so much fun. I laughed out loud a lot, more than I have in a long time at a movie. And it had a good theme about friendship you don’t see often in kids movies and it hit home a lot with me, as I’ve felt like a lot of my friends and I are spending less time together this year.

Post Re: Ralph Breaks the Internet
Ralph Breaks The Internet flawlessly fuses the continuation of Ralph and Vanellope's story with a feature length animated adaptation of Dave Chappelle's classic "what would the internet be like" sketch. That the core relationship is able to stand out among the many distractions of Internet World is the film's greatest achievement.

The references are almost all funny, but I could have used about 10% less of them. The Kong one at the end was the one time it really drew me away from the story at the wrong time. Though that also comes around and its fitting the personification of Ralph's insecurity was able to let go on its own without needing to resort to the miracle force field of death. And I don't think the movie ever relies on them like Ready Player One did. Even the Princesses are real characters that are helpful to both heroes.

And lastly I llke didn't tip its hand too early on what the film was really about: the bond of Ralph and Vanellope morphing from being best friends to a more parental one. He assumes he needs to protect her despite being afraid of most of the things they encounter. So while going to the wider world on a quest for a magical object is friend duty, encouraging them to stay there at the expense of their own happiness is what good fathers and mothers do. Two of the final scenes really hit the feels and the reaction is earned.

I know it is a kids movie, but I wish they could have referenced how everything becomes porn in some way or another.

Though the scene of the princesses lounging around in casual pajamaware will inspire a whole subgenre of Cosporn. I suppose that is enough to make up for it.

Yeah my 5 year old niece was saying the lack of crazy perv porn references weren't mentioned either was annoying.

Post Re: Ralph Breaks the Internet
Saw this on the weekend with my niece and enjoyed it a lot. I haven't seen the first, but obviously didn't need to. Everything was aces, except where he joins Youtube-like Buzzztube and becomes a viral sensation to earn money. I found the whole Buzzztube subplot dragged the movie down. The movie itself runs 20 minutes too long and could have cut this out entirely and did something better.

But I loved everything else. The scenes with Shank and Slaughter Race were a lot of fun. And the climax was good too, the animation is incredible. And I'm inclined to go watch the first one now.

D-

An unfunny, unpleasant, artificious instant movie that distorts the character of Ralph and his bond with Vanellope.
One of the worst animated titles Disney ever created, and most certainly NOT a "Disney classic". My god.

Not as good as I thought it would be, the disney princesses scene saved this disappointment.

This holds up despite its potentially timely subject matter. It’s hilarious and a ton of fun. The action scenes are great, and the portrayal of the internet is creative. The only issue is that Ralph’s story arc is not really built up in the first film, and his clingy behavior comes across as weird and creepy, and like a whole different character. But as a whole definitely a very fun ride.
