Future World

Cyborg meets Mad Max: Road Warrior, but it's on an economy drive! Either this film is just misunderstood and before its time or it's plain bad. It's a bit of a bait-and-switch operation too. Franco is obviously the biggest name, followed by Milla Jovovich, then Lucy Liu, and Franco does co-direct. But none of them get the required screen time to market it as their film (well, maybe Franco does), and they are all clearly supporting Mark Wahlberg's nephew's story. Even Suki Waterhouse has an arc! But I forgive it. It passes the time, Franco gives a great performance, and it's a bit fun sometimes, even if it is a mess and a waste of time and a film that is composed of a million ideas from all other post-apocalyptic flicks. But it was fun to see what Fury Road would be like if it was shot for half-a-million dollars.

Post Re: Future World
This was a completely mess script that's executed in the worse way ever. It squanders its biggest names into over-the-top action scenes taking itself too comically (if that is a thing). Franco and Jovovich are decent throughout but I have no idea why Lucy Liu was in this. The two leads have no chemistry and do not work well with each other.
