A pretty solid gritty, urban drama. I wasn't expecting this to be a hood film and while it won't be a classic it's somewhat refreshing seeing these kinds films still getting made in this day and age and with a respectable amount of Netflix money being put behind it. No doubt that's mostly because of the writer of Black Panther being at the helm, but all of that aside this was a fairly impressive debut film for him. Really solid performances from Aston Sanders and Jefferey Wright and Yahya wasn't too bad either, although maybe a bit miscast for the role he was playing.
