Silent Night

This is a decent slasher flick. It has all of the right elements; small suburban town, inept small town police force, masked killer, holiday season, and a final girl. Some good kills and a menacing killer. The final fight between Jaime King and the killer was a bit shit. He runs toward her carrying his axe but just nudges her. Why not swing the bloody thing? You've been doing that all day! And at one point she has him on the ground but decides to run and jump over a counter, wait a few seconds, and only then get her gun out to try and shoot him instead of reaching for her holster the second he is on the ground. But apart from that the film is good, and I am surprised they haven't made another. This could easily be a horror staple of the Christmas holidays like Saw was for Halloween.
