ArsenalThis is a really bad film. Yet another Louisiana-set Emmet-Furla actioner. It has such a silly story, badly shot action, the worst script, and really bad acting; spearheaded by
Entourage's Adrian Grenier. He plays the stupidly-named JP, a successful construction entrepreneur who must save his kidnapped brother from a local gang boss. His brother is Mikey, who is played by Johnathon Schaech, and he's an interesting dude. He's a cross between Tom Hardy and Joe Manganiello. I mean, he can't act for toffees, but he's way more charismatic and likable than his dip shit on-screen brother. John Cusack and Nicolas Cage are in supporting roles. Cusack is an FBI agent or cop, and might as well not even be in the film for all that his character adds to it all. And Cage's character is the main bad guy. I've never seen such a bad makeup job as his clearly prosthetic clown nose. It's ridiculously bad.
It is worrying that this film is so crap because Steven C. Miller is the director of the forthcoming
Escape Plan sequel.
