It is a harrowing experience. Incredibly well-acted and moving. The type of picture one might imagine after hearing the words "British indie." In a positive way. I am excited to see Paddy Considine's second movie as a director (the boxing drama Journeyman, out this year).

I love simple little films like this. It reminded me of I, Daniel Blake, which is another British-made, small-scale story set on a lower-class estate focusing on an old-timer and his troubles. Mix in a bit of Shane Meadows-esque colourful language and violence, and you've got Tyrannosaur. Peter Mullan and Olivia Colman are excellent, as expected.
