Re: The Assignment (2016)
It's a bad film, it has its charm in its R-rating, plenty of nudity in it, from Rodriguez as well. And I like her, but the film just feels cheap, and the narrative of a male hitman becoming a female out for revenge has just little flair to it. It's all a bit dull, and the thing that bothered me the most was that Rodriguez both did not convincingly play a guy as a guy and neither a guy as woman. Also on two occasions in the past we see "Frank" slowly add a silencer to his gun for a hit, which I found just odd in both situations as those would make him vulnerable for the opponent to make a move or not. Anyway, there's a lot of room for improvement with the whole film, it just somewhat gets away with itself because I wasn't expecting anything from it either.
