Re: Brothers In Blood: Lions of Sabi Sand
This is a good documentary and film. It's got a few harrowing moments of lions in their naturally violent habitat and it's overall a decent lion tale. The film doesn't really take it's time to show all and the full story of the Mapogos tribe, which on the one hand is alright, because it could get boring just staring at lions or seeing similar attacks on prey, but on the other hand some more depth to the story spanning over a decade would have been welcome to really feel the connection to the lions which the park rangers clearly had. It's got a good narrative anyway and it's nicely shot, and for a film about animal nature there isn't much else to require really either. It's basically a stretched out filming of a Discover Channel series, which I never was really into, but the story of this film is interesting enough.
