Daddy's Home 2
Quote: Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) and Brad (Will Ferrell) have joined forces to provide their kids with the perfect Christmas. Their newfound partnership is put to the test when Dusty's old-school, macho Dad (Mel Gibson) and Brad's ultra-affectionate and emotional Dad (John Lithgow) arrive just in time to throw the holiday into complete chaos.

Re: Daddy's Home 2
Daddy's Home 2 is aiming for heartwarming, and by the end they almost hit the target (the 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' bit was pretty good). Unfortunately, they forgot the funny. The Mel Gibson intro scene was great, but spoiled in the trailer - the only other scene I laughed at was the uncharacteristic agreement on the thermostat issue. *D*

Daddy's Home 2
The cinema lobby finale was a bit much for me. John Cena and Mark Wahlberg getting in touch with their feelings. Cringe-worthy stuff. But this film is actually a blast, and quite funny too if you take your guard down and want some genuine fun. Mel Gibson is great, I am relieved to say. Actually when the cast starts singing "Do They Know It's Christmas?" in that final scene, it's pretty special and uplifting. And Missile Tow ... c'mon, that is just the best title for a fake Liam Neeson action movie released at Christmas.
Oh, and final note; Linda Cardellini is lovely. Even outshining the Victoria's Secret model, Alessandra Ambrosio.
