Another solid Stephen King adaptation, but I was honestly expecting a bit more from this one. Thomas Jane is great in it and the cinematography/production design is top notch, but the horror element could have been pushed farther IMO. Granted I've never read or heard of the book and for all I know it's very faithful, but considering this is from King and all the disturbing shit that happens I wanted more than just a somewhat creepy ghost movie.

I loved this. Thomas Jane puts in a great performance, and the production and make-up and wardrobe departments do an excellent job. I also appreciated how it's not solely a a man's sinister plot to kill his wife but also veers into ghost territory, and it's scary too! A few brief shots of rats were also startling (the mouth, the mouth!!!). B+
