It's not as bad as the endless delays would suggest, but it's so boring and forgettable, and fails to even leave a surface level impression. C-

The references to the past films and the 2005 remake were cringe-inducing.

This was awful. Calling it boring and forgettable is honestly putting it nicely, because I felt they didn't put a ounce of effort into this damn thing. Bella Thorne is so bland and unlikeable as the lead here and they completely waste Jennifer Jason Leigh. The best things about it IMO is that the kid from Gotham was pretty creepy at times, but they don't utilize him enough and the Kurtwood Smith scenes were amusing mostly because I had no idea he was in this. Also, all those meta jokes about the past films in this franchise were beyond cringe inducing, and I find it funny that they actually had the audacity to call the remake crap when that film looks like a masterpiece compared to this pile of shit.

I expected worse honestly. It wasn't great but wasn't that bad.
