A solid, well acted dramedy. This is the kind of stuff Sandler and Stiller need to be doing more, because they just excel so easily at it. Both are really solid here and it feels so strange to finally see those two in the same film, and it turns out to be an indie film made for Netflix. Not that there is anything wrong with that since they are responsible for many quality films, but I can't even imagine how big of a deal this would have been like 15 years ago. Anyways, the supporting cast is equally solid, especially Hoffman and Thompson, although I kind of wish we got a few more scenes with Hoffman's character. It was cool seeing Judd Hirsch and Adam Driver show up for their little parts too, but that Sigourney Weaver cameo felt so random lol.

Sandler is still horrible in this movie. It must be in every contract of his that there has to be at least one scene where he screams large portions of his dialogue.

The movie itself is decent but one of the lesser Baumbach films, IMO. Stiller, Hoffman, and Thompson are all fantastic though, and I thought Marvel stole her scenes.

But Sandler, stick to your other shit Netflix originals and leave the real acting to the pros. B/B-
