National Lampoon's Vacation

Not bad. Pleasant. A few laughs, but feels dated. I love Chevy Chase, but here he is not like he is in Fletch. He's still charming, but the comedy is lacking. Still, it was nice to see Beverly D'Angelo (and naked too!) upstage supermodel Christine Brinkley as the hot girl. And nice to see John Candy and Frank McRae in small roles. The film is also very 80s, which has a breezy nature that makes a film easy to watch.

Hoping the sequels get better, but considering they are PG-13, PG-13, and then PG, I doubt they will be as good. But then who knows.

Good entry in the series, which peaked with the Christmas episode.

Oh, and I noticed that Rusty Griswold had a Rocky II trading card wedged into his mirror, which I enjoyed noticing.
