If she returns in a sequel, Dr. Poison should be redeemed. This would be the most interesting avenue. Expand on the moment at the party where she seems surprised and slightly moved, however briefly, by the Chris Pine character addressing her humanely.

There's a funny cut in the movie that made me think Wonder Woman casually tossed that tank on Dr. Poison, especially since we never see her again.

D.C. made a great Marvel movie

It's really good. Not much to be said that hasn't already been said. Diana and Steve are very likable. The beginning is well paced. The film feels a bit long, and loses it self in the middle, but of course corrects at No Mans Land. I do think the Ares fight could have been a little less... generic? It's also very funny. It's also a good example of how a relationship between a man and a woman should be. Both Diana and Steve have their own strengths and work together and respect each other. It's not the "feminism!" Movie it could have been.

B+

Feminism equates to equality which, while not the chief theme, is still a theme present in the movie

Where exactly is the equality? I just saw the film as a two-hour excuse for liberals to believe that somehow this film equates to progress. The film is as sexist as any other film. There isn't any equality on show.

Typical air-headed liberal that just wants to live in a false reality, and when someone questions it they get all dismissive and/or offensive.

I was referring to reality with regards to Wonder Woman, you know, since this thread is about it and all.

Spoiler: show
Steve at the end of the movie sacrifices his own life.

Both he and Diana had something important to bring to the table in the climax. Despite Diana being a literal god, and Steve a mere mortal. Their actions are still vital the plot, and to saving the day.

Yeah, I don't see the equality there. That happens in loads of films, and doesn't equate to equality.

I am not sure how their actions amount to equality specially when one of them is God who

People are definitely pushing a feminist agenda on the film, but its more about how the strong treat the weak. Like most every other superhero movie.

So you are essentially saying that both characters, male and female, were equally important to the outcome of the film, which amounts to equality. But, it's just, I don't see it that way ... for me, the female character had to be a "god" in order to contribute to the result, whereas the male character could just be a regular guy. Now, I don't know about you, but that doesn't seem like equality or even feminism. It is even worse in promoting those ideals than a Transformers movie. At least Megan Fox didn't need to be a "god" to help save the day.

Post Re: Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman was pretty generic.

I haven't gone through this thread, but it was as superficial as most of these superhero movies.

Some vague, illogical bad guy, some hokey action pieces, some cheesy ill-placed romance...

Wonder Woman, or whatever her name is again, being clueless was also grating. Is she the counterpart to Superman? Because he is in the same vein- at least the one I am referring to is Superman Returns.

All in all, overrated. Don't really see it as a feminist movie or whatever it has been crowned. I'm sure others could make a much better movie. This was out of the factory like the rest of them, substituting a woman for a man, but even then, not really doing her justice by making her a bit of a simpleton.

At least it exists so women can move forward a little, but it took how many years to get a proper superhero movie out? (Maybe they have adhered to the comics, but honestly most of these movies are little more than trashy cartoon storylines.)
