Its a decent if cliche'd movie that forgets to present a loving family and relies too much on Watts's charisma and manipulation. Naomi Watts is great in here and she carries the physical aspects of character very well but her emotional segments are too manipulative that even her good acting cannot cover for their overuse. The rest of the family and supporting cast is good, Lincoln and Weaver are pretty much bystanders here, the children aren't given much to do here. The real actor is the bird which generates more emotions than rest of the cast. I didn't even feel the bird healing Bloom's very appealing here. Its nice to hear that this was a true story but maybe it needed a little more cinematic magic.
