Bright colours and sing-songs have warped your mind.

La La Land has those!

I like the film, just don't understand the hype.

The Greatest Showman is better than this.

I did like it better than Moonlight. I'll certainly watch La La Land more. But I'm not upset about Moonlight winning. It's a small and important film and could use the boost. If anything I'm more mad it won because it kills the chances of them awarding another gay film this year, and let's be honest I'd rather CMBYN get awarded. Not sure it would have anyway (probably not) but its chances would have been better. It would probably at least have scored more nominations (like that Director nomination it won't get now).

Well, I plan to watch this over an over again because it's so fun and the songs are so good. La La Land only has like 6 songs across over 2 hours of movie, and the story isn't as interesting to me.

Is this still going to be a "classic"? I don't know anyone who mentions it anymore.

I would be surprised if TGS (I haven't seen it yet) is a better musical than this because I thought La La Land works best as a musical. I thought LLL was as generic of as story as it comes by.

Wow what a classic this ended up, and definitely the soundtrack is more awards worthy than Moana, cuz people still are singing “City of Stars” and not “How Far I’ll Go”
