Re: Ant-Man
I thought it was highly entertaining. The action sequences were inventive and fun, this is easily one of the funniest Marvel movies and Paul Rudd was a great leading man. Also loved the end credits tags. A-

Re: Ant-Man
The funniest Marvel film and sadly the most predictable. But at least it had a good climax, which is rare for Marvel.

Umm... meh? The comedic parts on their own are good, and the dramatic parts are fine... but when they mix? Jesus it's a mess. B? Maybe.

Re: Ant-Man
This is the most fun I've ever had with an MCU film. That said, it's bogged down a bit by the cliche family drama. Its not bad family drama, Judy Greer and Bobby Cannavale are fun to watch, and the little girl is cute, but it feels out of place. It would have been better to focus on Scoit's personal journey overcoming his criminal past than having it be to serve some mundane family film convention.
The action is inventive as anything, and it is quite funny. Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly all do great jobs. Just a tad below AOU and GOTG for me.
B+ 1. Avengers: Age of Ultron 2. Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Ant-Man 4. Captain America: The Winter Soldier 5. Thor 6. Captain America: The First Avenger 7. The Avengers 8. Thor: The Dark World 9. Iron Man Not seen IM2 or 3, TIH.

Re: Ant-Man
Ant-Man might be one of the MCU's better films, mainly because of the script from Wright. MCU still has bland film making overall outside if Guardians.

Re: Ant-Man
This still is my favorite Marvel film. Very funny and the shrunken action scenes are the best in the entire MCU.

Re: Ant-Man
As far as the origins story goes this comes second best only to Iron Man. Not only the character different than rest of the MCU heroes his problems are genuine and something which a lot of people can connect to themselves. The problems of a good villain still stays and while the heist is great the final part of going sub-atomic happens too fast. The whole preparing to be Ant-Man arc works well also to setup the story. Rudd, Lily and Douglas do great here though its Pena who steals every scene he gets here. The graphics are functional and the hero needed a few more tricks that just shrinking and coming back, that part of shrinking and strength are not outlined properly, possibly to change it as needed.
