Re: Jurassic World
The sense of wonder comes from the movie telling us the dinosaurs are boring, making us believe it, then making us fall in love with them all over again. The actual content of the build-up is far from the original, but the pacing is equal. The action is always escalating.

Because it happens every day in real life. (Not the dinos, the people being bored with AMAZING THINGS)

Re: Jurassic World
The film is pretty fun and entertaining, the second best blockbuster of the year to me (Mad Max holds the crown), it felt like the first Jurassic Park 'cause it's pacing seemed similar, however Pratt was bland, the kids sucked (they can't act); on the other hand, I liked Bryce Dallas Howard' character and enjoyed Irrfan Khan and Jake Johnson. Dinosaurs, despite of cgi, looked great and easter eggs were gold. A-Will see it again next week

And even that dude has plenty of moments of "excitement". No. That's not what I'm referring to. They were obviously referring to people that weren't visiting the park. Why would people go to a dino park and be bored? Nah, bro.

But not going to the Grand Canyon more than once is the "boredom" I'm referring to. It's INCREDIBLE! Why would you not want to see it again!? Makes no sense. It doesn't get any less incredible.

The dinosaurs aren't boring but the humans are and that's why the movie is mostly a miss. I'm referring to the gyroball scene, where Jimmy Fallon is stealing the show over these amazing creatures all around it. When he went away, I was just waiting for the I-Rex to show up and start chomping more fools. I was hoping the movie would be good, but chomping is what I paid for. Bigger, badder, cooler chomping. The movie successfully turned me (and most audiences, I believe) against the I-Rex during the dying Brontosaurus scene, which also redeems BDHs character. That sets up the ending perfectly. We've seen all of the human's battle techniques fail against the I-Rex. The dinosaurs we used to fear now have to be the heroes. And hey, there's mossosaur to show us that not all new things are bad. The execution is just perfect.

Re: Jurassic World
When the I-Rex is near the water, you just know that water dino is going to come out and eat drag him in. I am sure that was a surprise to nobody. It's still fun, it's just not a shock. I'd have liked a few more surprises in the film.

Re: Jurassic World
Jimmy Fallon's reveal was funny, but that bit got worse and worse and unbearable by the end. They should have let him write is own stuff.
As soon as the fence was knocked over the water, you definitely knew. But it was still cool.
Also people are getting way too carried away on the Rex vs. Rex fight. I mean the Spinosaurus fucking owned a T-Rex in the 3rd film. I-Rex didn't have shit on that (Hands down one of the films coolest moment discarding the first 2 film's main antagonist in like 30 seconds), but it's advantages was the huge set of faceless body counts where 3 only had like 6 actors the majority of the film.

Re: Jurassic World
I enjoyed seeing Fallon, but he really is nothing to me. I've seen him a handful of times, not like every night like Americans do.

Re: Jurassic World
The third film, mediocre as it is, has a cooler New Dinosaur Antagonist.

Re: Jurassic World
Pratt reminds me a lot of prime Brendan Fraser. Moderately handsome fellow who you can tell wasn't swooned over by women early in life, so he radiates a self conscious warmth and sense of self deprecating humor not usually found in people his type.

All Pratt can do is be the cheeky handsome guy or the concerned handsome guy. That's his range.

Re: Jurassic World
Pratt is nothing more than Ryan Reynolds except got famous 10 years later and Almost every Reynolds blockbuster has had the stink around it, and no prestige. Pratt needs to be careful.
