Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Watched it again this morning in preparation for CW and yeah it's kind of amazing. This movie gets better every time I see it and now I'm thinking about actually putting it in my top 2 or 3 favorite MCU films.

The "nurse across the hall" happens to be Sharon Carter/Agent 13, Peggy Carter's niece and eventual girlfriend of Steve Rogers.

But she's pointless in this film. I guess to say that she exists? But she serves no purpose.

She was a plant, To keep an eye on him/ and is I'm guessing part of the fury coverup. Even Widow pushed that he should date her. And then in the finale she is clearly a SHIELD member l standing up against HYDRA. Her arc is more explained then Bucky and Falcon to be honest. Her role seems even bigger now as she's been on the main press tour. Her role was small but not pointless. The same could be said about Bucky in CA 1

her role in Civil War is pretty minuscule too.

she. serves. no. purpose.
Not sure why you're fighting back on this. You could take her out of the movie, literally, and just have Cap talking to himself in the hallway, and you'd have the same movie.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Nope the amount of time she stalls the ships from getting launched is literally longer then the half second Steve in his wounded state, had to switch the cards, hence the killing of millions of marvel movies we'd never get. Without her, Steve and everyone would be dead. Talk about literally not looking at a movie at its heart
She clearly is in all 3 acts, and plays a role in the overall story. Certainly not a lead, but not like she's an extra.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier
I liked it a few years ago when it rode a wave of hype, but this is just not my favorite Marvel franchise. There's some good character work, but the plot is just ok and the action is a little samey feeling. Probably a bit better than the first, but not as good as I remember.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier
This is one of the best movies where action is better, stakes are higher and the plot moves at brisk pace with many things going around at the same time. I would have liked if they did show a little more of Winter Soldier and his arc here but he is there in ALL of the action scenes. Fury's car chase scene was amazing, the escape scene at the highway was the best action scene of the movie and not the finale (which was big and loud).
