Have you seen The Wind Rises? My bad, I didn't take it into account it's a 2014 release here.

They thought Demi (of all people LOL) would make the song a hit. It didn't.

Why did Disney have Demi Lovato sing the promotional version of "Let It Go" when Menzel's version is much better? Stand out scene of a wonderful film. Well, whatever they did, it's working. The soundtrack hit #1 on the Billboard 200 last week and both versions of "Let It Go" are ascending the singles chart.

Re: Frozen (2013)
loved that the act of true love that saved Anna was not a first kiss but was saving her sister. I don't care if that was already said, it was the heart of the film. And it made up for the cliche love being the answer to all their problems, since it was love that wasn't born in a single adventure (or two meetings). The relationship between those two is why the movie works so well, along with the sidekicks of course.

I think the reason the movie has become such a phenomenon is because of its focus on the relationship between sisters.

I haven't watched this yet, because I'm afraid it's as terrible as it looks and sounds like.

I suppose having huge balls is a necessity to be able to endure this, unless the brain is tiny enough to even things out.

Frozen
An enjoyable enough film, but the first 20 minutes or so (or until the ice collector man enters the movie) is pretty lame. Olaf is very funny. The story is so-so. Animation is divine. The 3D was nice. The songs were pretty shit and distracting from a really good CGI adventure. I feel this is a girls movie through and through. Overall; safely funny, not risky or crude enough (if at all), and just not memorable as a film.

Re: Frozen (2013)
Frankly crude animated movies are way too overdone, less crude in an animated movie should be a plus. But then you know personal preference is personal preference.

Re: Frozen (2013)
Well I prefer the crudeness of DreamWorks and Universal to the boring safe-bet animation of Disney.

Re: Frozen (2013)
I prefer the last couple of disney stories like Tangled, Ralph and Frozen rather than the overrated dreamworks/universal comedies like Turbo, Despicable Me Me and lthe Lorax

Re: Frozen (2013)
I saw it as second time and liked it a little more. Everything up to and through Let It Go is GREAT and actually classic Disney. It just gets clunky after that for reasons I can't quite my finger on, other than Olaf comic relief. The confrontation between Anna and Elsa in the palace in particular could've been so much more climactic.

Re: Frozen (2013)
I dunno, maybe I need to watch it again, but clunky is not the word I would use.
This film works, it is well made...besides the stupid wasted trolls...but the songs are overrated and that is half the battle for Disney Musicals.

Re: Frozen (2013)
I agree that the first half is better than the second. Do You Wanna Build a Snowman was more well done/emotional than Anna's sacrifice in the end tbh.
