 Journey 2: The Mysterious Island Journey 2: The Mysterious Island Quote: Journey 2: The Mysterious Island is an American 3D adventure film directed by Brad Peyton and the sequel to the 2008 film Journey to the Center of the Earth. Following the first film, the sequel is loosely based on a Jules Verne novel, this time The Mysterious Island.
The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Michael Caine, Josh Hutcherson, Vanessa Hudgens, Luis Guzmán and Kristin Davis. The story was written by Richard Outten, Brian Gunn and Mark Gunn, and the screenplay by Brian and Mark Gunn.

Re: Journey 2: The Mysterious Island I actually had a lot of fun with this one. Sure it is filled with some cheesy dialogue, but it is very entertaining and the much improved visuals over the first help with that. I wish I got a chance to see it in 3D as this film really calls to be seen in it but it was just fine in beautiful Blu-Ray. ***
