Quote:
Holy Rollers is an independent drama film written and directed by Kevin Asch, and starring Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Bartha, Ari Graynor, Danny Abeckaser, Q-Tip and Jason Fuchs. Holy Rollers is inspired by actual events in the late nineties when Hasidic Jews were recruited as mules to smuggle ecstasy from Europe into the United States.

Post Re: Holy Rollers
A joyously tragic true life tale of a good boy gone bad. Life is experienced and lessons are learned. I really dug Holy Rollers's offbeat pov and nerdy heart.

While not quite a classic for the ages, I found Holy Rollers to be a damn sight more entertaining than the two other Manufactured Film Products™ I saw this weekend (Grown Ups & Knight and Day).

Jesse Eisenberg follows up his epic Land series (Adventure and Zombie) with some more fine work here in a challenging role.

Holy Rollers a shtik naches!

8 out of 5.
