Huge surprise here.
Zingaling, you were looking for movies to netflix? I think you'd probably really like this one. (I'm not sure what your stance on subtitles is, but the dubbing (was on automatically for me) isn't too bad, so yknow.)
It's one of the more interesting stories I've seen in quite some time.
1909, some assassination goes wrong and it sets into action a strange turn of history. Japan allies with the US and wins WWII...the A-Bombs are droped on Berlin instead of Hiroshima. It's early in the future (2009 to be exact) and Korea isn't a country (or something, I think they called Korea a different name, kinda forget already). Bottom line is, there is a group of Koreans who are a kinda underground terrorist squad, and this man and his partner (cops) are called to investigate why this group keeps targeting this foundation (which is centered around all these famous, mysterious artifacts.)
Long complex story short, one of the cops gets really deep into this case...probably too deep....and it ends up going in some interesting places.
I just checked IMDb and it's genres are listed as: "Action / Drama / Mystery / Sci-Fi / Thriller" It has all of those and more, and is exemplary in each. Any and everyone who likes stuff like Infernal Affairs, Minority Report, um, Matrix even (I;m at a loss of more titles), but yeah, I dunno. It's only 6.5 on IMDb, but I'd say at least 8.5 (or A- ish)
The only think I disliked was...well, it kinda goes over-the-top a lot. In score, lighting, slow-mo...just in general the style ranges from Fantastic to...wtf, why'd you go all cheeseball insane on me bitch. But really very good.
