The One
The OneQuote: The One is a 2001 American action film directed by James Wong and starring Jet Li, Delroy Lindo, Jason Statham and Carla Gugino. Decent action movie from Jet Li. B

Dumb as hell and not in a good way. They took a perfect good action star, and made all of his actions more enhanced with CGI, when they didn't need to be in the first place. Not to mention the story is also pathetic.

I liked it. Dumb kung-fu, but its entertaining. And I thought the concept was rather ingenious, its a bit wasted in this film but it still works.

Definitely not 8 years ago, heh. yeah, i know. :o but it was one of the first dvds my friend got and at the time he only had PS2 to watch it on, and he got it pretty much right after it came out. So it's been a while...and I really don't remember anything about it except the basic premise, and some "Li vs Li" showdown or something. But i did think it was pretty cool at the time. so, yeah. just exaggeration for effect...:O

I don't know, for some reason I feel that if they used the idea for this film(the parallel universes, parallel minds, the power getting compacted thing) except instead of Jet Li kung-fu they used a big star like Arnie or Tom Cruise, with better general production and enthusiasm and writing, this could've been a huggeeeee sci-fi hit. But they didn't of course.
