I am a great fan of the original Jumanji and must say that this one left me underwhelmed. Maybe I would have liked it more if I didn't have Jumanji to compare it to, but this one just was less fun. Part of the fun in Jumanji was that the whole thing was on a bigger scale, since they left the house and all. Here it was too containted to one small space. Moreover the little kid was rather annoying, well, more like very annoying.

The visuals were still great, though and on the whole the movie is every bit as imaginative when it came to the game as Jumanji, it's just that the two main protagonists are not interesting. However, I muist admit that the twist later in the movie caught me very much off-guard. A fun flick, but could have been better.
