The film is directed by James Wan from a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, based on a story conceived by Wan, Johnson-McGoldrick, Thomas Pa'a Sibbett, and Jason Momoa. It stars Momoa as Arthur Curry / Aquaman alongside Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Nicole Kidman.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was released in the United States on December 22, 2023.

Re: Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
Honestly was expecting this to be awful based on all the word on test screenings but honestly it's fine. Watchable. I like Patrick Wilson so it was nice to see him have so much screentime. And Amber Heard was actually in this more than I thought so that was a njce surprise.
Sad that the DCEU had to end like this but with the way people have been apathetic about nearly every superhero film recently its the right choice to pivot to something else. Hopefully we can get more films that are very good as opposed to meh or fine.

Re: Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
There's not much here, but it does succeed at its job of being an entertaining dumb action movie. You'd think 'oh that's not so hard' but Shazam 2, Wonder Woman 1984 and Blue Beetle are proof to the opposite. I actually kinda liked this one more than the first although it's much more messy. You can see the rewrites happening on screen before they just throw up their hands and say "fuck it, this is a movie about brothers."
I'll give it a 6/10.

This was pretty meh, it doesn’t swing for the fences and miss like Flash, but it’s more overly complicated than Shazam. It’s overall just a bloated cgi fest with some nice moments here and there, but it overall lacks much story or character.
