Re: Shazam!
This was good but it’s not a movie to watch at 10:30 if you want to stay awake. It’s very long especially when it feels so much like a family film. And it was only mildly funny. The kid actors were great other than kid Shazam who was wooden. But the costumes and effects and action were really good for the lower budget. MB

Yeah, meh for me too. As I'm writing this I can barely remember it. I remember almost every scene was stolen from something else.

Re: Shazam!
Caught this again as part of my DCEU binge; this is possibly the best edited movie of the lot but even then fails to impress because of its flaws. I didn't like Levi this time around as much or pretty much any character, acting wise Grazer is still the stand-out and the foster parents are equally good in their small generic roles. There are so many aspects that are brushed off here, discovering powers, best friends, 7 deadly sins, good vs evil Shazam, family and siblings but nothing comes to a full mature end. Too many things to handle in a movie, plus the finale is not upto the mark and yet some scenes feels repetitive at times.
