Wonder Wheel is another one of Woody Allen's peeks into New York City’s past to historical Coney Island as the setting for a tragic love story. The four leads are solid in this engaging tale of the ups and downs of loyalty and infidelity. *B+*

Just no. This is a colossal failure on almost every level, and all of the actors (of whom I'm fans) are horrible in it. D+

I thought it was pretty entertaining. Winslet is terrific. A bit exhausting to watch but great.

7/10 (B-)

This is all about Kate Winslet, one of the best performances of her career with her character going to breakdown and misery but without the escape of madness that Blanchett's character in Blue Jasmine got. The rest of the film is good not great, some of the artificialness in characters like Belushi, Temple and Timberlake is intended as its told through the unreliable vantage point of its foolish narrator, but also holds it back to an extent. I do continue to be a bigger fan of Timberlake's acting than his music. His boyishness is perfect for this role as he's not supposed to be real enough to either fall in love or be fallen in love with for real by Ginny, she wants the illusory idea of him more than anything else.
