It Ends With Us super frontloaded, but still a smash hit. $8M / $12M / $12M / $9M for a $41M weekend. Borderlands is doa. Even if the games had a big enough fanbase to make it a hit (which is debatable), casting Kevin Hart and going pg13 is an instant turn off to almost every one of them. And they didn't even use "Aint No Rest For The Wicked" in the trailer. That was as easy a layup as possible for the marketing team and they blew it. Maybe it cracks double digits, but it ain't going over $20M thats for sure. |

flip1 wrote: Borderlands: 14m That would be a huge win for Borderlands, imo. Which is funny because that very number was a huge disappointment for Trap. |

It ends is having crazy strong presales. But it hardly has any PLF boost and so ATP will be 20%+ lower than blockbusters. Plus its so frontloaded comparing saturday to friday sales. Dont be surprised by a big drop on saturday. Still I am expecting 25m+ OD and so should hit upper 40s at minimum. Borderlands is looking dire and it has Imax/PLF :-) thinking low double digits OW. |

Well damn. Say D&W drops 45%, that's a 53.2m weekend. If It Ends With Us ends up being #1 lol |

Well I'm sure glad they hired people who never played the games and just wanted to focus on making a story for everybody. ![]() Five Nights At Freddys had bad reviews but they did enough to please the fans of the original property. Its not that hard. Yet 9/10 video game movies act like they are embarassed to be a video game movie and it really turns the audiences off. |

ScreenRant, MovieWeb and gold ol' Grace gave fresh reviews at RT. 0% would have been glorious and might have helped the movie somewhat :-) |

Borderlands seems to be a front runner for the Razzies. |

Solid walkups for It Ends. 8m+ previews including early shows yesterday and probably 25m ish Friday including previews. Even if it craters after OD it should hit 45m+ OW. |

It Ends With Us $5.5M Wed. Just 54% down from Sunday gross. Will be interesting how well it holds this weekend but under 50% would be impressive for it. |
