Trap looks like a breakout hit, but nothing is guaranteed with M Night at the helm and heavy competition taking up the biggest screens. I'll go with a reasonable $28M, yet would not be at all shocked by either $40M+ or below $15M. Purple Crayon - does anyone care? Families have been well served lately. Maybe the IF megafans are looking for something similiar? I dunno. $9M weekend. |

I definitely want to see Trap, but unless it has very positive reviews, I don't think it's doing more than an opening in the teens. |

There's already been one purple children's film this year. Harold will be hurt by IF, in my opinion. |

Trap looks ok but presales are not that good to scream a breakout for now. I think I will say low to mid 20s for now. Harold will bomb big time. Next week it ends with us looks like a huge breakout. its presales are ahead of Trap comfortably despite releasing a week later !!! |

Trap 28m Harold 9m Too bad I picked Harold in the draft. Thought it could do 50m or so but now looks like a sub 30m grosser to me |

I wonder what would have happened if you put Reynolds in Crayon and Levi in If. It's nice to have some real stars with drawing power again. Hopefully he quits wasting time with the trash on netflix and gives us more big numbers at the box office! |

It has potential and even a week delay would have helped. |
