best walkups seen in a long time. I think its hitting low teens and probably close to 20m tomorrow. Should hit mid 50s OW.

Such a consistent franchise. Good to see the summer has finally started!

If those Deadline #s end up being true good #s all around. Challengers is having strong legs and a sub-50% drop for Fall Guy is good.

Bad audience scores for Apes so let’s see how this holds. Not a good sign!

Challengers PTA dropped under 15%. Still dropped just 36% overall despite losing 800+ theaters. A stretch but won’t be that far off from CW.

Nice for Challengers, it definitely seems like it's clicking with the Saltburn type audience, though they may end up watching it by streaming

They can just keep making Apes movies like Transformers and Fast and Furious until people stop going to them.

Monkey movies may contribute nearly $400M to the box office. The box office has gone bananas!!! :D

What's impressive about the Apes franchise is it's become almost like the James Bond franchise. Top 10 rank in 1968 with the first film which made back 4X its budget.

Has successes in the 70s before overdoing it. Absence for 28 years.

Tim Burton opens it in 01 to the #2 biggest OW of all time!!! The nostalgia and love for the originals seems deep.

10 year absence then comes back strong in the 2010s. And seems to be popular still in the 2020s.

Any other franchise other than James Bond that saw a movie rank in the top 20 for the year in the 1960s AND the 2020s?

Godzilla and King Kong have also stayed relevant for a LONG time. And I guess the Disney reimaginings could qualify as IP extension for 45+ years.

The Pink Panther is also likely due for a reboot.

Charlie is saying 20m+. if it goes over 21m, even 60m could be in play with Mother's day help.

G vs K and KP4 are getting awfully close at missing 200M. Going to need to hold on to theaters.

Mother's Day apparently is really helping films out!

Empire says hold of POTA is strong and Fall Guy is looking to increase from Sat.

Estimates show fall Guy dropping 12.9% to $4.71M so an increase would help its recovery.

Seems like a lighthearted movie that plays well to take moms to. Agreed on whoever said Apes and Fall Guy should have switched release dates. Fall Guy seems more primed to do well this weekend.

I'm sure there's some moms with a thing for Gosling.
