Demon Slayer - 1.8m previews

Seems decent. Bob Marley will probably be #1 for the weekend though.

Ordinary Angels $285,000

Well at least I won 2 weekends of the prediction contest. This weekend seals my fate. :funny:

Marley 13.4m
Demon - 9-10m
Web - 5m

Quote:
Right now, the Spider-Man clairvoyant is showing a -67% second frame drop (which is bad though not as atrocious as Marvels -78% second weekend freefall) with $5M in 4th place at 4,013 theaters. She’ll stand at $34.4M by Sunday.

And DHD also lists Migration still in the top 5 with $700K Friday, $3.5M weekend, -8%, $121M.

Would be down just 43.8% from its 4th weekend 6 weeks ago at $6.2M. Will probably pass Madam Web by next weekend. :P

Kung Fu Panda literally has the easiest path to success of any 2024 film. Could open to $20M and may very well still pass $100M.

11th time in 82 days that a Japanese movie tops the charts...

Great # for Demon Slayer, especially since it's half a season finale people have seen already like the last thing in theaters lol

If Bob Marley holds decent against Dune (which has a completely different audience), it should hit 100m total.

Solid hold for One Love. 3.13X multiplier for $100M and well on its way.

Openers all sort of forgettable as this season mostly has been.

Migration is at a 9.67X multiplier so will pass 10X this week. Chance for $130M+.

Wonka is holding very well and probably still will until Panda (and may still keep holding going into Easter perhaps with its chocolate theme). Already at $215M so looks set for $225M+.

Anyone But You never had a drop worse than 26.9% until this weekend. Nearly at a 15X multiplier. They should do a Polar Express type re-release each February to get to $100M in a few years.

Land of Bad has to be on my top 10 list for worst movie titles of all time.

Beekeeper has narrowed the gap with Mean Girls to $9M. It made about $1.5M more than MG this weekend and Dune may finish its run quickly but impressive how close they'll be.

Something important this week related to France? Re-releases from Amelie and Les Miserables?

Timothy will probably wait for Dune 2 open big before signing on to Wonka 2. Timing is everything!

Tuesday #'s

1. One Love $1,500,000 -34.8% $73.6M EST
2. Ordinary Angels $1,000,000 EST $7.7M EST
3 Madame Web $725,000 -58% $36,501,509
4 Demon Slayer $687,000 $12,806,567
5 The Chosen $336,917 -24% $8,541,513
6 Wonka $200,000 -54% $214,785,795
7 Anyone But You $140,000 -52% $87,221,482

That's VERY good for Ordinary Angels! :noway: It only opened to $2.3M on Friday but seems to be getting great wom so maybe it can hold well toward Easter. It also only made $487K on Monday so an increase to $1M feels pretty massive. Also has an A+ Cinemascore.

Great hold for Marley too. Just $26.4M to go to $100M. Could be at $75M going into its 3rd weekend.
