Leo just signed on along with Regina Hall, Sean Penn for an untilied Paul Thomas Anderson movie filming this year, coming out next year. Expected to have a $100M budget which seems a big gamble considering his last movie lost money. Feels like it will be PTA's first possible blockbuster and an immediate contender for 2025's Oscar race. WB set this up so they seem to be aggressively courting A-listers. Depends on the project but it sounds like PTA going for a mainstream hit which is cool, and him/DiCaprio is dream pairing |

This could be interesting. Easily PTA's biggest film over TWBB - though his films are hardly commercial. |

PTA has never delivered a mainstream hit. I dont think his movies has even grossed 50m domestic or 100m WW. This could do that if it gets good release date and is not something crazy like 4 hr movie. |

it supposedly has 115m budget. Its not going to make enough to make it profitable but as long as its a great movie its ok. |

It's getting a summer 2025 release date. Aug. 8, 2025. What's interesting is it was noted it will have access to IMAX screens so really anyone's guess what this movie will be like but Leo + summer + IMAX seems it'll be PTA's most commercial film ever. Rest of cast includes Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Wood Harris, Alana Haim and Chase Infiniti. |

PTA mainstream popularity isn't proven but any movie with Leo that looks good has potential. |
