$5.5m Friday If it beats Nile in total I'd say that's fine. Idk the budget though. Barbie didn't crumble after being put on digital. Should have a good weekend next week with Imax. |

Only eventful movie events are B+O of course. Barbie passed Super Mario globally! Now at $1.42B! Also now #11 of all time domestic. Oppenheimer passed BR to become the biggest biopic of all time. $10.8M weekend (-44.6%) and $912.7M total. |

Also, a woah stat pointed out by BOR: Quote: Through Sunday, the estimated total gross to opening weekend ratios for Barbie & Oppenheimer are both 3.8644 to 1. Barbie - $626,122,143 / $162,022,044 = 3.86443 Oppenheimer - $318,639,115 / $82,455,420 = 3.86438 Crazy how tied to the hip these two movies were despite such different subject matter. Barbenheimer wasn't just a 1 weekend thing, it literally carried forward for their entire runs matching each other to the multiplier. Only feels fitting they both get best picture and acting nods as major contenders and present together. |
