Terrible terrible terrible release date for Greek Wedding. It wasn't a guaranteed success anywhere, but at least it would have had a chance as a movie "for the whole family" around Thanksgiving and Christmas time. Who the fuck wants to see this in early September? |

I would have been more interested in Greek Wedding in the winter. I like movies in a warm setting that time of year. I would have done January or February. |

Looking like a BIG global weekend for Jawan! On Thur was #1 in UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Middle East, Singapore. #2 in US. Looks to have the biggest worldwide OW ever for a Bollywood movie! The Nun 2 according to Charlie is at $13M including previews for Friday. Not a horrible weekend for the one after Labor Day. Just 4 more weekends to have semi decent openings before the Taylor train. |

Seems like Bottoms dropped 51% from last Friday with a sizable expansion. Ouch. Guess it makes sense as its already done business in areas it would've done well in. |

Lowest drop in the top 15 on Friday was Oppenheimer at -41.8%. The Friday drops were subpar and we had an inflated Sunday. Seems like a mess for holdovers but The Nun 2 and Jawan will have solid openings. |

The Equalizer 3 drops by 65% to $12.1m, with only $61.8m to-date. Is it going to reach $100m with those numbers? I don't see it. |

Nun and Greek both recovered pretty well from their mediocre preview numbers Kinda surprised Barbenheimer dropped so hard. They should be in the 20-35% range without summer weekdays deflating the weekend numbers. Just makes Maverick's late run to get over $700m even more impressive. |

Jawan really is the winner for the weekend. $57M global launch with $42M in India ($64.4M so far total) in 4 days! Everything else, meh. |

Not bad at all for the openers. Bottoms recovered after the Friday number. A 33% drop is fine. |
