Need to see if Tobey Spiderman and X-Men are in it or some dead Avengers like Stark, but assuming they take advantage of the concept I think Doctor Strange 2 could be huge |

Hard to predict the future with Covid, I originally had Multiverse of Madness at $450M and Bats at about $500M. If they both opened today I think Strange would win though. That SpiderMan trailer was hype and the possibilities of the Multiverse unleashed should be a bigger draw than Batman (hopefully) being great again. |

Doctor Strange 2 by a hair. Batman will have the benefit of spring breaks but DS2 will benefit from the MCU/multiverse connection. |

Honestly, The Batman can go straight to HBO in my opinion. The production has been a mess, and that was even before covid. Dr. Strange and hopefully flashpoint offer new and exciting elements to the genre. The Batman looks likes such a regression it almost feels like Terminator Genisys. It’s already set up to fail as it’s going to be fairly or unfairly compared to Begins. |

Well, assuming neither are on streaming, the pandemic has reached more comfortable/controlled levels, and the market resembles some normalcy again... The Batman is going to need a ton of positive buzz before it opens and tons of positive WOM after it opens. Anything less than perfect (or near-perfect) is going to be deemed a disappointment and very likely underperform after all the film franchise has gone though. But, if absolutely everything goes right, it should have the higher ceiling, but as mentioned, the floor is also a lot lower. Doctor Strange 2 already has more than enough goodwill from the MCU franchise (including coming off of a super-hyped Spider-Man 3) and WandaVision on Disney+, so it's pretty much guaranteed a big result at the box office regardless of reception, and is therefore probably the favorite just based on that, or at least the safe bet. It's range is more limited, but that range is pretty dang high. |

Hm... so Doctor Strange will open big now I feel since it's direct continuation of NWH. Idk about $200m+ but $150m+ probably. Batman is a wildcard. I guess let's see where we are February. |

I switch to Dr Strange as well. MCU is crazy strong and there must be benefit with him being part of No way home. Batman needs to build its audience again. I am sure Reeves made a great movie. So Sequel will be way bigger like TDK was. |

I feel even more confident in The Batman out grossing DS:MOM  after that trailer.unless they start putting Spider-Man in ALL the rest of the trailers  Batman's got this easily won

They don't need to put Spidey in anymore movies and that didn't substantially help with Civil War. NWH will definitely help Thor and with Multiverse Madness concept Strange will strangely pull in a lot of curious audience. |

No Spidey is not required at this point and is actually better off being put on ice (as Holland takes a break) which will make his return all the bigger. Madness will be big regardless. |
