The story looks corny but the fighting looks very cool. I’ll trust in Marvel. Will this be the #1 movie of the year worldwide? Or will China ban it like they did with Demon Slayer?

So the trailer came out this morning and looked relatively generic in my opinion. It’s looking like this will be the first theatrical exclusive Marvel film post pandemic though, which could give it a boost. I’d think (assuming the pandemic has pretty much wrapped up by September) maybe a 65m opening .and 200 total. |

That's a good introductory trailer and they kept enough mystery and intrigue in trailer to keep the general audience wondering while showing off quick money shots which they can expand later. The "Who are you?" line will go viral very soon. As for predictions I guess $80m/$230m if Disney releases this in theaters otherwise $40m/$100m |

Yeah I think in regular times this would've been huge. I knew Crazy Rich Asians was gonna do really well and this would've got even more support. We'll see if this stays exclusive to theaters. Hopefully things are fine! I think it looks pretty good. |

Everything after Endgame is just gravy for me. I’ll go to the theater with low expectations (based on the trailers and material) and hope I’m pleasantly surprised. What Feige and the Marvel team accomplished with Phase 1-3 was historic. If Shang-Chi, Black Widow, and The Eternals are good movies, wonderful, but their legacy has already been cemented. |

I liked both trailers and this one does a good job teasing some of the action scenes though surprisingly no comedy scenes this time around. |

i still think this looks trash but it at least its a new character which makes it more appealing than BW so I'd say 60m-70m 4-day for now. |

New spot released says "Only in Theaters" lol We got a bit over a month now, and who knows at what stage we'll be in for the pandemic but it'll be interesting to compare this and BW if it does end up being a theatrical only release. |

I did not like the trailer. All the follow the destiny crap has been seen for ever. Anyway it has its fans and so should open well. But its an interesting weekend to open for sure. Let us see how things go. |

Only in theaters is a great marketing technique specially from Disney. Lot of OS markets are boycotting the simultaneous D+ release by not giving their movies enough screens or theaters. This should do really well in OS markets and I'm guessing a lot of it has to do with BW's abysmal OS numbers which definitely didn't help them get their money back. For BW'S $200m budget it will hardly make $450m WW, even when you add additional $100m from D+ (don't think it would have made too much after first week on streaming) that's a lot of cash left for a $1b potential movie. |

I read that week 2 buys for D+ was a drop off of just 19% and had already made back 110 million in profit from Disney+. Haven't seen anything since weekend 2 though. |

That would be amazing number for BW streaming if true. I wonder why are we not getting SCatLotTR on streaming right away. Why wait till September nothing is hot at BO right now? |
