I heard that some cinemas are refunding tickets for upcoming shows due to overcapacity so that they can comply to local regulations?

At first when I read this i thought you meant Deadline started quoting numbers from our forum (which would be HUGE). Anyways the numbers Charlie gets are faster and more accurate than Deadline which most likely is due to the fact that he can ammend his numbers without any moderation.

Sounds like quote from fanboys. US theaters have been in operation for months with same regulations so I don't see how they will overbook in the first place. They want to stay operational and that's their first priority.

Yeah I don't think they use this forum but at least they have more accurate numbers than what other sources used...

Are 1500 locations good enough? Did recent anime movies have the same number of location?

Highest count for an anime film since the third Pokemon film way back in 2000.

not that it matters to us, but thenumbers also updated their box office count to reflect what Deadline had with $435 million. Now the only straggler is Box Office Mojo.

Maybe by reducing capacities, it would help with the legs for this movie?

They won't change the numbers. Many past posters have highlighted similar errors through email and other channels. They either don't have resources or do not have that big base for whom they would change these numbers.

A non-English language film, for sure. A non-American, I don't think so. I suspect a few British films might have achieved the feat (Lawrence of Arabia to give just one example + some of the Bond movies).

Does anyone have the estimated revenue from Spain and LATAM markets yet?

haven't found anything yet. Spain has 200 theaters or so from what I read so I don't expect much from there. LATAM could have a lot more but I expect the impact to close to Australia's numbers (but it could be as impactful as South Korea if it got the proper marketing)

Well don't count with Argentina.
The cinemas in most of the cities are closing back due to the rise in cases.
The movie didn't even open in Buenos Aires, and apparently sold 3.854 this thursday in the rest of the country.

DS is gonna have its biggest single day tomorrow, 88th day of release - tweet from Charlie

charlie Jatinder (@meJat32) Tweeted:
North America isn't only place where #DemonSlayer is slaying stuff. In Korea, the film is likely to have its biggest single day in its 3 months long run, tomorrow i.e. 88th day of release. Total till now stands at $14.9M, should be around $15.8M by Sunday.

The movie is currently well-received in the U.S. amid the pandemic more than fans expected. Mugen Train may earn between $30.7 million (Dragon Ball Super Broly) and $43.8 million (Pokemon The Movie 2000) if it can maintain this pace for couple of weeks with some luck.
