Funny you say that because my local independent theater has actually shown all of the catalog titles listed since reopening back in May, Shrek aside. Ghostbusters is even playing this week as part of 80s "Horror" Month.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off kicks off 80s Teen-Comedies Month next week, which will also include Risky Business, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Sixteen Candles, and The Breakfast Club. I wonder if any of them are just outside of making mark's list.

So far, 33 re-releases grossed at least $1m and 13 more than $2m

7 movies did more than $3m:
$6.2m Hocus Pocus
$5.6m Jurassic Park
$4.4m The Goonies
$3.9m Elf
$3.7m Jaws
$3.6m The Empire Strikes Back
$3.1m Back to the Future

I wonder if the studios will ever release official numbers...

If Hocus Pocus 2 went theatrical I think it would easily open 40+
