Re: Thursday previews (er, last in awhile?)
People are going to go to the movies as long as they're open. What else is there to do. Even if half the 5000 theaters closed this weekend, anyone could still see what they wanted to. Film's will most likely see larger PSA for a while.
Cut to 6 weeks from now when everything is back up and normal and Black Widow will explode.

It won't be back to normal in 6 weeks...
Chinese theaters are closed for 2 months now...

Re: Thursday previews (er, last in awhile?)
Yeah I'm curious if/when theaters will close with studios not releasing any new movies.

Only those areas where people are fearful will be impacted. Right now, that's still a small percentage of the country. There is concern but not hysteria like the media portrays.

The media isn't portraying hysteria.

Re: Thursday previews (er, last in awhile?)
media: "people are hoarding toilet paper for some reason"
you: "WHY ARE YOU REPORTING ON HYSTERIA?!"

Wow, I’d see these as good numbers even outside of Plague Season. I guess people are flocking to the movies while they still can.
The toilet paper thing is legit, every store I’ve been to recently has been completely out. I think it just makes people feel slightly more in control.

Re: Thursday previews (er, last in awhile?)
How come they horde toilet paper? Shouldn’t soup cans be the ones getting cleaned out? Or is it a self fulfilling prophecy?

Some of it might be planning on being home for an extended period, if it comes to that. Wiping with looseleaf paper isn't as fun.

Holdovers were down a bit, but nothing to suggest Onward will drop 75%.
