Have to do it. I don’t think it would have even cracked $25M in this market. Theaters will close when they see the abomination of this coming weekend. Why stay open if there’s no business to be had?

Today's box office #s will be interesting. Weekdays have actually been pretty standard, probably cause people feel ok going when a theater is nearly empty.

Once the Top 5 or 10 markets close theaters, that will be it. Studios won't bother releasing their big films.

I think Mulan is too big a film to do this but releasing on Disney+ would be crazy.

New Mutants is the perfect film to release on Disney+. Hope they do it.

It would be Hulu. It's way too risque for Disney+ unless they edit the hell out of it.

They would have been better off releasing it when they were initially going to.

Disney would not release its movies to D+ directly yet. It's too early for all target audience to have bought it. Though yes smaller movies like New Mutants and Artemis Foul should go to D+ and try to get more subscribers to the service but I believe they've spent SO MUCH money on these movies they won't be confident with streaming money alone. They're still very tradionalists.

If anything they should just release New Mutants on digital now, I'd buy it.

The baron wasteland of BO will stretch into the summer. At best.

But if all this does pass and auds are comfortable to go to theatres- the first major film scheduled should see a BO bonanza.
