Tom Hanks and his wife had very mild symptoms, they didn’t even mention a cough or sneeze, and they are older.

Uhm, this doesn't seem to sound accurate, I thought even Hanks himself announced he and his wife were having fever. I think fever is a pretty serious symptom, it might not be full on pneumonia (yet), but fever is usually a defense.mechanism.of the body fighting something more serious.

He said slight fevers. That just means they tested a bit higher than normal temperature. You can have that and barely notice it.

If the projected 70-100+ million people get infected in the US, that could be a million deaths. Again, not to mention how full hospitals are going to be, and people without insurance are going to go without being tested, without treatment.

But sure, 1-3% "isn't that bad".

So the first two cities ordered theaters to close here in Germany, I guess all theaters will be closed by next week...

Curious how long this all lasts, and if WW84 comes out in June. I'd hope that it's all calmed down by then, and if so, it would be huge for WB to have WW84 be the first blockbuster of the year.

Ya I'm interested to see how long it'll take before it gets calm. I hope WW stays.

Lord knows how China is really doing but hopefully their stats about recovered are somewhat accurate.

Crazy day. The Lovebirds and Blue Story are cancelled as well.

It’s a shame that Peacock isn’t launching until Summer. Uni could have tossed Trolls World Tour on there.

It’s very telling that Disney hasn’t closed their parks or removed their films from schedule. Anytime they want to get away with some woke capitalism move we should remember that they knowingly chose to endanger their customers for profits in a genuine crisis.
The stock has been plummeting anyways, they could have gotten all of the bad news out at once but now it will trickle out and hurt even more.

No March Madness is going to be strange. Guess there was no realistic way to play. One player gets it, you'd shut it down while underway.

This has escalated so quickly. Almost nothing is immune to this. I manage a Barnes & Nobles and have been receiving emails about it for a couple weeks now, and one today suggested that the Starbucks may temporarily close to limit the number of visitors to the location.

And it really did seem like Disney was hellbent on releasing Mulan this month, but good move to delay it.
