So embarassing for Doctor Sleep.
Jojo Rabbit and Parasite continue to expand solidly.
Joker at 984m WW. Should hit the billion next weekend at the latest.

https://twitter.com/GiteshPandya/status ... 48097?s=19Eek I think Knives Out is gonna be a hit after how dismal everything has been doing. Should be good counterprogramming for Frozen.

Am I the ONLY one rooting for Charlie’s Angels in this forum?? Lol I feel like everyone is expecting/hoping it will fail, I’m not fond of either trailer but I’m still hoping

Knives out will be big for Craig, he could use a nice success leading up to his final Bond

Eek
I think Knives Out is gonna be a hit after how dismal everything has been doing. Should be good counterprogramming for Frozen. I think Ford v. Ferrari and Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood are the next best bets for November over-performers. The trailers have been strong, reviews are good, and the actors have appeal in the right projects. Knives Out could also break out, but an original whodunnit is such a unique wide release it's hard to see where it lands.

RAWR at Terminator drops. OS it dropped 69% in holdover markets. Domestic it dropped 63% in a shitting weekend where no opener hit 20m.
On the other hand Joker and Mal 2 are chugging along in domestic and OS. 500m+ for Mal 2 WW and 1.05B+ WW for Joker.

Re: Weekend #s: Box office goes to sleep
500m for Maleficent isn't too bad. In the summer it probably would've done like 75m more WW so *shrug*
Terminator dropping 150m from Genisys is baffling. Had they done a true sequel to Genisys it probably would've done well below 175m WW if this is how it does with Cameron and Hamilton back.
It looks like Doctor Sleep may not even do 100m WW. I can't.

Re: Weekend #s: Box office goes to sleep
Streaming is killing these mid-tier theatrical releases. If it doesn't look like a must-see then people pass. "I'll just catch it on Netflix or Hulu or whatever" is much easier to say than "I'll just catch it on DVD", since the latter is much more expensive than a theatre ticket.

Does anybody know how Jay and Silent Bob is doing? It's in the same amount of theaters as last week, and it it increased? Is it touring?
