 Charlie's Angels '19 TOTAL < Charlie's Angels '00 OW Club Its a movie nobody asked for and the TV show version flopped a few years back.
This reboot will make less in TOTAL (domestic) than the 2000 original made in its Opening Weekend - $40.13m.

This just reeks of desperate though, a non-Disney studio trying to force a hit. Even switching the focus of the advertising from fading star Stewart to rising star Naomi Scott will only go so far. I can't see it opening higher than $15M.

Nobody blinks an eye now that Mackenzie Davis is the lead of the next Terminator film. Plus porn is so prevalent not the internet so who cares about sex appeal on TV the same way they did when the original series or even film came out, which was still a Baywatch friendly era. Also if you make a Charlie's Angels adaptation without the sexiest blonde of its era you have already lost the tradition, and Margot Robbie wasn't taking this role
A good way to take advantage of the Charlie's Angels brand name would have been a female Ghostbusters approach by Feig and McCarthy or something. But I guess at that point you're basically making female ghostbusters without the ghosts. Chris Hemsworth as the voice of Charlie talking to a bunch of female comedians would've been a perfect joke if it hadn't been done already.

Considering the 2000s movies adjust to like $160m or something, and Charlie's Angels is a very well-known brand even if it's old, that's just.....wow. Elizabeth Banks should've stuck to playing supporting roles.
