Feels like this has breakout potential. I like the early release date as well.

Not to go full DP on everyone but the early social media / YouTube views for this are not that strong. They’re not horrible but not good enough to think this will be better than Spectre domestically.

I don’t know if you noticed, but UK trailer has more views (and guessing they are not primarily from the UK). Not a bad pace at all.

Across the different videos on the main channel, the trailer has 17.6m views. Black Widow had like 24m at this time, so given Bond’s older audience, it compares well.

I dont think twitter/youtube views count as much for this. It does skew older.

Being the last Craig Bond and the April Easter release - I'm expecting it to go $80-85m/$240-250m.

So in-between Skyfall and Spectre.

EDIT: Being the last Craig Bond will be a big deal. $300m is a good chance.

Making me think 220m-230m rather than 200m. It's true that the older audience affects it, but the ratios have been changing as it seems more older people are using YouTube than a few years ago. Both FVF and KO had a lot of views.

Billie Eilish is singing the theme song.

why not just give it to Lorde who could do similar vibes but 1000x better

Lorde would probably craft a much better song, but Billie Eilish is more relevant at the moment - especially if they want a hit with the song.

Ummm.... Billie Eilish is hella dope and talented, as is her bro producer. Great choice for the theme song.

That said, I don't know about this movie's prospects.... It feels very underwhelming to me so far. I was a huge fan of Skyfall and Spectre, and am bored by the preview for this. It's been too long since the last one, there's no apparent story hook or selling point, visually it feels derivative/dull, Craig seems tired in the role.... Spectre would have been the perfect send-off for his iteration of Bond. Yet here we go, five years later.... another one....... meh.

Total US gross: $165m?

Ya Billie is a good choice.

I thought they usually went for more established stars than Billie but ok. I guess Sam Smith and Adele only had one album of hits each by the time they did themes.

Literally any choice is better than Sam Smith. I blame the blandness of Spectre almost entirely on him.

This one will do $300m (assuming its good). The fact it's the last Craig Bond will be a big boost.

Feeling 60-70 million for this. Could'v e done more than Spectre as Craig's last film but it's just been too long and a lot of competition following it and preceding it

I don't see it opening to more than F9 tbh. Maybe I'll be wrong but I'm expecting low 60s or 50s opening.

$45M. Spectre had all the hype coming off of Skyfall and could only manage $70M. Daniel Craig was an awesome Bond, but this was the time to make a change. I just don't see it breaking too far through the covid wall.

Bond movies depend on prolonged hype for either a new actor or something within the series the "last movie with this actor" angle just does not stick as much as I loved Craig in this role, it was the story around him that made this a great franchise and not him as an actor something that I felt Brosnan and Connery were able to do. As for predictions I still think it will cross $50m mark but not very high from there.

$51m-$54m

Reviews are better than Spectre but worse than Skyfall.

Feeling 70m for this.

Keyser did mention that the presales have picked up for this but I still feel this is one of those movies that's presales heavy than say MCU specially in this environment where the seats/capacity are limited even with huge amount of screens. I'm still staying with my $51-$54m range for opening. I don't think this would have out-opened Spectre in normal times.

I read all the spoilers and think this is going to suck. But it will open big no doubt. $120m+
