This is the list of what has done 20m+ in previews:

Avengers: Endgame (5pm, 4/25/19) - $60 million
Star Wars: The Force Awakens (7PM, 12/18/15) - $57 million
Star Wars: The Last Jedi (6PM, 12/14/17) - $45 million
Avengers: Infinity War (4/26/18) - $39 million
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part II (10PM, 11/16/12) - $30.4 million
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (7PM, 12/15/16) - $29 million
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (6PM, 3/24/16) - $27.7 million
Avengers: Age of Ultron (4/30/15) - $27.6 million
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (11/21/13) - $25.3 million
Black Panther (7PM, 2/15/17) - $25.2 million
Captain America: Civil War (7PM, 5/5/16) - $25 million
The Lion King (5PM, 7/19/19) - $23 million

So... MCU, Star Wars, Twilight, DC, Hunger Games, Disney Live Action


I'm thinking the next one will be Disney animated (Frozen), but can any other property do this much opening night? what do y'all think?

You didn't include the most impressive preview gross, HP8 with 43m+ with no shows before midnight.

Maybe he’s only counting ones that opened on a Thursday. HP movies opened on Friday 12am technically

Hobbs & Shaw will top 10m previews. Might even go as high as 15m.

Idk, not feeling H&S at all. Feels like there's no hype, I feel like it'll do 6-7 previews.

If hype is as strong as I think it will be WW1984 will probably do close to 20m for previews.
