Re: Ford v Ferrari 100m+ Club
I'm definitely IN.
This honestly doesn't even seem that bold considering the star power attached and the early holiday release. I can easily see it doing $120-$130M and if reviews are really good and it gets some Oscar buzz than $150M+ should be on the table.

I'm seeing $75-85 million right now unless it becomes an Oscar player. But I would love for this to happen, mostly so that we can have another non-franchise $100+ million grosser.

Re: Ford v Ferrari 100m+ Club
As a motorsport enthusiast would absolutely love for this to happen but not sure if it can given the difficulty in original films breaking out. It should open well enough to get to $70-80m but from there it will need great reviews.
That said, response on social media has been very promising.

Re: Ford v Ferrari 100m+ Club
This is building up steam nicely. I'm now comfortable with $100m+ for this.
Personally, I have a number of offers to go and see this including one from Ford (a client of mine) so the interest is certainly there though expected around my circle of friends.
The month is wide open for it and awards buzz is strong.

I went with $90m in KC's game and I am going to stick with it. For now OUT.

If Rush only made $26m then why on earth would this make $100m??
Out.

Out. Charlie's Angels has a much better chance of making $26m total than this. Marketing is even better than CA and its star power is so much better than Rush. $150M is in reach.

Out. The difference was that Rush was about F1 racing (the best globally but not as big in America). This is about all American Ford up against the most famous motor racing marquee in the world. Plus it has bigger stars.

Yeah, should have a run like Sully, gotta love Damon and Bale just continue to pick solid winners. Looks to be a solid last quarter for adults with this, Mr. Rogers, Knives Out, and even Uncut Gems overperforming (Uncut Gems on a more limited scale) Not to mention Irishmen killing it when it streams in 2 weeks.

It will make it but only just.
Thanksgiving will help + later legs thanks to good WOM and awards buzz.

It will lose a lot of theaters though to the December openers.

Re: Ford v Ferrari 100m+ Club
It should make enough in the first two weeks of December (as depressed as that period can be at the BO) and then it will have to rely on the $$$ around for midweek Christmas/New Year period. It should at least be at $90-$95m by NY weekend.
I do wish it held a little better this weekend though.

I do wish it held a little better this weekend though. I think last year showed that the pre-Thanksgiving weekend will always be rough on holdovers even without a big opener, so I'm not too concerned about FvF's legs yet. This weekend will give a better idea. If it drops less than 20% it'll be safe for $100 million. If it could drop less than 10% Bohemian-style, it could stay in wide release into 2020 and do $125+ million.
