The Lion King beats TFA domestically & worldwide *CLUB*
Because it’ll have better legs than EG. Over $936 million domestic Over 2.06 billion worldwide
Endgame failed me on the domestic front. Simba will not.
This Club will close June 1st.

Nah man. I'm thinking this will finish with less than Beauty and the Beast Remake. At least that and Jungle Book had human characters.

I’d love to see it happen but I’m sweating my own 750m club, so out.

Nah. I could see it doing WW numbers with a huge breakout in OS markets( 1.4B+). But domestically around 600m is ginormous.

Between the $1bn Endgame estimate, this one and others - your predictions are.....bullish. :-)

Considered that Disney move Artemis Fowl from August to 2020, Disney might want to make a room for Lion King long stay.

Singalong musical version, deleted scenes, Broadway production tie ins, holiday version, they'll be able to milk this one for a long time.

Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast made a lot more sense as live action. Yes I know Jungle also had animals, but it had Mowgli. He's the centre of the film. I think people are assuming it does comparable business to those two but I think some part of the public's hindbrain will tell them this is not a must-see. And the animals look so lifeless and expressionless compared to the animated version. I don't think it will flop or anything but these mega predictions I shall not endorse.

I do not think there being no humans will make a difference. The animals do talk, and they have the original film's emotion to give the depth.
It will disappoint because you have all wildly over-predicted it just like Pokemon Detective Pikachu.

Early tracking has it as high as 230m opening weekend. this will end up opening 2nd best of all time. And if it gets RT as high as Jungle Book (95%) than my club will be victorious!
